KidsAbility, in collaboration with McMaster University and CanChild, is excited to share the progress of the ENVISAGE program.

Launched in November 2024, the program has successfully completed two cohorts of service providers with 16 participants and one cohort of families with 6 families. Each cohort involves five weeks of online training, delivered by KidsAbility’s dedicated Facilitator team.

The program began by engaging families on the Early Years waitlist, providing them with tools and resources sooner to support their child’s development. The rollout of Envisage has demonstrated its success in the following ways:  allowing families to access support sooner, feeling more connected, and gaining the confidence they need to navigate their child’s journey.

Service providers have also benefited from the program, refining their treatment approaches. One Occupational Therapist shared, “Envisage has allowed me to reflect on my care and ensure that families and children are always at the centre.” Another participant highlighted the practical impact, noting the program “has allowed [them] to maintain a strengths-based approach and keep the conversation client-centred.”

Looking Ahead

We are actively recruiting for our next two cohorts of families, which will take place in the upcoming months! We are rolling out our third cohort of ENVISAGE-SP in the Fall of 2025.
