Redefining Therapy Documentation with AI & Enhancing Clinician Productivity

KidsAbility is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with the University of Waterloo. Partnering with Dr. Bryan Tripp and the Biomedical Engineering Program, we aim to transform therapy documentation processes. This initiative will allow our clinicians to dedicate more time to delivering exceptional care to our clients.

Therapists currently spend a significant amount of time on documentation, with up to two minutes of paperwork for every minute spent with a client. This process, while essential, takes away from direct care.

To address this, we are training a Large Language Model (LLM) to automate the creation of detailed notes and assessment reports. This AI tool will streamline documentation tasks, maintaining high-quality standards and allowing therapists to focus more on direct client care.

KidsAbility is also collaborating with the University of Guelph to evaluate the privacy, ethical, and regulatory aspects of using LLMs in pediatric rehab.
